Teak Oil – Teak oil Syntilor – is a real care for exotic woods, olive, but also domestic European woods, etc. It impregnates the surface of the wood and protects it from climatic attacks, avoiding graying. The treated surfaces do not peel and are easily maintained thanks to an easy regeneration.

Real care for garden furniture made of exotic red and brown woods (teak, niangon, rosewood, etc.). Teak Oil – Teak oil Syntilor – impregnates, nourishes and protects the wood, giving it a beautiful natural oiled appearance.

Specially designed for outdoor exposure, it protects the wood from UV radiation, bad weather conditions and stains.

Easy maintenance: local treatments are possible without sanding.

Preparation

New Exotic Wood: Degrease with a cloth soaked in acetone.
Old untreated wood, stained or greyed: clean using Syntilor’s greyed wood cleaner Dégriseur Nettoyant.
Old finishes (old oils, old paints, varnishes, etc.): sand with No. 40, 60 and then 100 sandpaper or remove old substrates with Syntilor’s abrasive Décapant Gel Multi-Supports.
If necessary, apply a coat of a suitable wood treatment product against wood-eating insects.

PROFESSIONAL TIP: A light sanding (No. 100 sandpaper) on all surfaces before application will open the pores and facilitate penetration.

Application

Ready to use, do not dilute.
Stir well before and during use, do not dilute.
Apply a first thin coat of Teak Oil – Teak oil Syntilor – with a brush, then wipe almost immediately with a Mèche Coton pad or a clean cotton cloth (even circular motion). Drying: approximately 4-8 hours.
To obtain a nice finish, sand (lightly sand, fine sandpaper) the first coat to neutralize the uneven surfaces of the wood.
Apply a second coat, wiping at the same time, to obtain a polished smooth natural surface. The wood is thus impregnated in depth, without the product remaining on the surface.
Let it dry thoroughly for 24 hours before using the furniture. Take some basic precautions for a few days: avoid strong impacts, do not get wet. Final hardening is achieved after 4-6 days, under normal conditions.

Maintenance

As soon as the wood surface begins to naturally lighten from weathering and UV radiation, clean and apply Teak Oil – Teak oil Syntilor – directly to the lightened areas.
In case of delayed maintenance, first clean with Syntilor’s Dégriseur Nettoyan, a cleaner for greyed wood.
