The High Protection water-based Decking oil, impregnates, permanently protects and decorates all wooden terraces and decks. Easy and economical application: directly on new wood without prior 6-month natural aging, no wiping required. 2 coats are enough for a long-lasting result.

For all types of wood: exotic, softwood, hardwood, pre-impregnated. Directly on new wood without prior aging.

Easy maintenance: local treatments are possible without sanding. Natural aging without deterioration or cracking.

Preparation

New Exotic Wood: Degrease with a cloth soaked in acetone.
Old untreated wood, stained or greyed: clean using Syntilor’s greyed wood cleaner Dégriseur Nettoyant.
Old finishes (old paints, varnishes, etc.): sand with sandpaper No 40, 60 and then 100 or remove old substrates with Syntilor’s abrasive Décapant Gel Multi-Supports.
On contaminated wood: scrape, clean and then apply a suitable treatment product. Let dry for at least 48 hours before applying the impregnation varnish.
Do not apply wood stains or impregnation varnish beforehand. Do not apply over freshly applied other Decking oil.
Make sure the wood is dry: at least 2-3 days of good weather before application and that there is no risk of rain within the first 24 hours after applying the 2nd coat.

PROFESSIONAL TIP: A light sanding (sandpaper No 80-100), before application, on all surfaces, will open the pores and facilitate penetration.

Application

Mix well before and during use, do not dilute.
Apply a 1st thin coat in the direction of the wood fibers (well soak the grooves, joints and edges).
Let it penetrate for 20′ to 30′ minutes.
Apply the 2nd thin coat as soon as the wood loses its “wet” appearance. Brush off any excess product to avoid drips or shine on the surface.
NO WIPING NEEDED
The surfaces are ready for use 12 hours after application.

Maintenance

As soon as the wood surface begins to naturally lighten from weathering and UV radiation, apply High Protection Water-Based Decking Oil directly to the lightened areas.
In case of delayed maintenance, first clean with Syntilor Dégriseur Nettoyant, a cleaner for greyed wood.
