INFORMATION

Meteore 14 Fine is part of VALPAINT’s one-component resin cement mortar systems, i-Beton & i-Beton PLUS. It is a fine-grained (0.1mm) structural coating with high anchoring properties, to be applied as a third layer over at least 2 layers of Meteore 14 Medio.

Preparation and Application

  • The surfaces to which Meteore 14 Fine is applied must be dry and solid, free of cracks and moisture. The application conditions refer to stable standard environmental conditions (Θ = 20°C and relative humidity UR = 65%). Conditions other than those indicated can significantly modify the drying times. For more information, see the relevant Technical Brochure.
  • FINISH: for interior use and as the third (3rd) and final layer of the I-BETON system. Meteore 14 Fine is applied, instead of Meteore 14 Medio, using the PV 43/44 stainless steel trowel. Then spray the entire surface with water using the water sprayer. Complete the application by pressing immediately with movements of the trowel in all directions, achieving a finish that is as smooth and solid as possible.

Protection

  • For floors that will be exposed to high humidity: after 16 hours at 20°C, apply a thin layer of the 2-component resin OTTURAPORI OTB + CT45 using a mohair roller. After 24 hours at 20°C, sand with 220/300 grit sandpaper before applying two coats of the protective resins TOP COAT AR60 Lucido (glossy) or TOP COAT AR70 Opaco (matt).
  • For other surfaces: After 16-24 hours at 20°C, apply two to three coats of the protective resins TOP COAT AR60 Lucido (glossy) or TOP COAT AR70 Opaco (matt).
