INFORMATION

Cire Liquide – Les Anciens is a true traditional polish enriched with beeswax. It is a “traditional” liquid wax that nourishes and protects furniture and interior woodwork.

It is ideal for antique furniture, Skyrgiana furniture and large surfaces such as cabinets or sideboards.

Its beautiful patina and its very special smell are reminiscent of the beautiful furniture of the past.

It is easy to apply, it is non-sticky, non-greasy and polishes easily.

Preparation

  • New parquet floors: sand with a floor sander (No. 120). Dust thoroughly.
  • Old parquet floors (with varnish or floor oil): sand down to bare wood with a floor sander (grit 40, 60 and 100). Dust thoroughly. The use of abrasives is not recommended.
  • Exotic woods: degrease with acetone after sanding.
  • Previously waxed parquet: remove dirt and excess wax with a wax remover.
  • Previously waxed furniture: remove dirt and excess wax with a wax remover.
  • On contaminated wood/furniture: scrape, clean and then apply a suitable treatment product.

Application

  • Ready to use, do not dilute.
  • Stir well before use.
  • Apply with a parquet polish, an applicator broom or a cotton cloth, depending on the surface. Generally 2 to 3 coats are needed for a very high quality result.
  • Let dry for 30’ to 1 hour before polishing with a floor polish or a woolen cloth.

Maintenance

  • Once the waxed surface has lost its shine, dust it off and apply Cire Liquide – Les Anciens then polish to restore the shine.
  • Important: in all cases, let it dry thoroughly before polishing.
