INFORMATION

Aguaplack top joint 2h is a traditional gypsum-based powder putty for filling and finishing joints in plasterboard, filling corner caps and screw heads and can be used to repair small holes and cracks in plaster or plasterboard. Finally, it is suitable for achieving all Quality Levels Q1 to Q4, from joint filling to final puttying with the highest quality standards.

Preparation

  • The substrate must be dry, cohesive, stable and free from dust, grease, wax or any other substance that prevents the proper adhesion of the putty.
  • Remove dust from the joints. Use clean water, container and tools to mix the product. Add 2 parts powder to 1 part water (20 Kg powder – approximately 10 L water). Mix vigorously, preferably with an electric mixer, to create a uniform paste. Wait 5 minutes before use. The powder-water ratio can be adjusted according to the required consistency.
  • The paste remains workable for approximately 2 hours at 20°C.
  • High temperatures may reduce and low temperatures may extend the working time. Do not stir once the setting process has started.
  • Do not add water or powder once the setting process has started.
  • Do not add too much water to avoid shrinkage.

Application

  • Fill the joint and centre the tape over the joint, then position it by pressing down with a spatula and coat immediately.
  • Apply the 2nd coat extending 3 to 5 cm from each side of the joint.
  • Allow for ventilation to ensure proper drying.
  • Sand only when the joint is thoroughly dry.
  • Once the surface is dry, apply Beissier Drywall Primer to prepare for painting or Beissier FIXACRYL to prepare for wall coverings.
  • In general, substrates must be treated and prepared in accordance with local standards. In case of doubt, it is highly recommended to carry out a test application on a small area to determine suitability, compatibility and application conditions
