Vierotone is a high-quality exterior paint, particularly suitable for coating mineral renders/plasters. Vierotone coatings are extremely effective on stable, solid substrates. Due to a special combination of binders and pigments, Vierotone incorporates the positive properties of acrylic and Hydroxy paints.

INFORMATION

Vierotone is a high-quality exterior paint, particularly suitable for coating mineral renders/plasters. Vierotone coatings are extremely effective on stable, solid substrates. Due to a special combination of binders and pigments, Vierotone incorporates the positive properties of acrylic and Hydroxy paints.

Preparation

  • New, mature, homogeneous, complete city wall surfaces: Clean thoroughly, removing all traces of dust. Correct imperfections with a fiber-reinforced mortar with controlled shrinkage. Wait until the wall is dry. Then apply a coat of Prymer ACQ primer appropriately diluted. In case of very intense chalking, apply (alternatively) a coat of PRYMER SE.
  • External wall surfaces, cementitious, mortar or plaster, already coated or partially degraded: Remove all traces of stains, parts that are not completely adhered and any frayed areas. In case of mold, clean with a suitable cleaner. Correct imperfections and areas that require repair with fiber-reinforced, non-shrinking repair materials. Wait until the wall is dry. Then apply a coat of Prymer ACQ primer, suitably diluted. In case of very intense chalking, apply (alternatively) a coat of PRYMER SE.
  • Interior walls that have never been painted (newly mature plaster, gypsum surfaces, prefabricated panels, plasterboard, etc.): Remove dust and plaster fragments that are not perfectly adhered. Level out any imperfections (holes, cracks or fissures) with a suitable filler-putty. After 2-6 hours from the last filling, sand the walls and clean thoroughly. Then apply a coat of Prymer ACQ primer, suitably diluted. In case of very intense chalking, apply (alternatively) a coat of PRYMER SE.
  • Internal walls already painted with other colors: Thoroughly clean the surface from dust or stains and fill any imperfections with a suitable putty, sand and clean the dust. Then apply a coat of Prymer ACQ primer properly diluted.

 

Application

Dilution :

  • By roller: thinning 30 – 35% by volume with water.
  • By brush: thinning 35 – 45% by volume with water.
  • By spray gun: thinning 40 – 50% by volume with water.
  • Dilute with water and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous mass is achieved.
  • Apply 2 coats by roller.
