Graniplast Medio 25 – Fine 20 are continuous wall coatings (of different granulometry) for external and internal surfaces based on acrylic polymers in water emulsion and enriched with selected marble granules. The special binder gives the product resistance to alkaline and atmospheric media, very good application properties and excellent adhesion. The use of natural marble granules ensures the typical stability of stone materials. Suitable for use in cement mortar, cement-lime mortars or equivalent, gypsum, plasterboards, prefabricated elements, etc.

INFORMATION

Graniplast Medio 25 – Fine 20 are continuous wall coatings (of different granulometry) for external and internal surfaces based on acrylic polymers in water emulsion and enriched with selected marble granules. The special binder gives the product resistance to alkaline and atmospheric media, very good application properties and excellent adhesion. The use of natural marble granules ensures the typical stability of stone materials. Suitable for use in cement mortar, cement-lime mortars or equivalent, gypsum, plasterboards, prefabricated elements, etc.

Preparation

NEW, OLD, HOMOGENEOUS or VERY SMOOTH WALL SURFACES:

  • Clean thoroughly, removing all traces of dust. Check that the wall is perfectly dry and apply a coat of VIEROQUARTZ water-based stabilizing quartz primer diluted 1:1 with water in a similar shade to the final coating and wait 12-24 hours.

 

CEMENT, LIME MORTAR, PAINTED or PARTIALLY PROBLEMOUS WALL SURFACES:

  • Old paints: remove all traces of stains, areas that do not adhere perfectly and any rash. First apply a coat of PRΥMER AC 100. Then apply a coat of VIEROQUARTZ water-based quartz primer diluted 1:1 with water in a similar shade to the final coating and wait 12-24 hours.
  • Old coatings: if necessary, remove the finish with paint stripper and wash the surface. In case of mold or moss, carry out a special treatment with an anti-mold solution. Make any repairs with VIERO products and prime the surface with a coat of PRΥMER AC 100. Then apply a coat of VIEROQUARTZ water-based quartz primer diluted 1:1 with water in a similar shade to the final coating and wait 12-24 hours.

 

Application

  • Do not apply to walls that are in direct contact with the sun or where the ambient or substrate temperature may drop below +5°C or rise above +35°C in the first 24 hours after application, the relative humidity must not exceed 75%.
  • Apply a uniform layer of GRANIPLAST MEDIO 25 or FINE 20 with a stainless steel trowel, working with movements from the bottom up.
  • Eliminate application irregularities using the trowel with cross movements.
  • When the material begins to dry and lose its white appearance, always smooth it with the stainless steel trowel, taking care to always keep the trowel clean.
  • After application, protect the surface from adverse weather conditions and dust for at least 48 hours.
