INFORMATION

Aquarethane® 6-year Water-Resistant Stone Varnish permanently protects and waterproofs stones (natural or reconstituted), paving stones, brickwork, bricks or wall coverings.

Protects against dirt and stains that may damage their appearance (engine oil, barbecue grease, soot, etc.).

Very resistant to high stress (impacts/shocks, abrasions, pedestrian traffic), it is particularly recommended for the protection of floors such as stone terraces or paths made of interlocking stones.

Facilitates surface maintenance by reducing the build-up of dirt and lichen.

Preparation

  • The surfaces should be clean, dry, free from atmospheric impurities, grease stains, paints, sealants, waxes, etc.
  • To determine the porosity of the surface, you should do the “drop test” a little water, placed on the surface, it should be absorbed quickly.

 

Application

  • Ready to use, do not dilute.
  • Mix well before use.
  • Apply 2 coats with a brush, wide brush or roller. The varnish spreads quickly, there is no need to “work” the product for a long time.
  • Between each coat, let it penetrate and dry for 2 hours. Do not exceed 48 hours between coats.
  • The surfaces are put into use after 24 hours and for gentle initial use. Take some precautions in the first days. Full mechanical capacity is achieved after 7 days.

 

Maintenance

  • MAINTENANCE: clean with clean water and, if necessary, with a neutral detergent (no ammonia).
  • RENOVATION: remove any stains on the surface using a high-pressure washer. Rinse thoroughly and let dry thoroughly before applying one or two coats of Aquarethane® 6-year Water-based Stone Varnish.
