INFORMATION

The exterior elastomeric putty Aguaplast Flex Fill seals and bridges moving structural cracks and fissures. It maintains its elasticity between -10oC and +70oC. It is reinforced with glass fibers and gives a rough finish like concrete or plaster

Preparation

  • Apply to dry substrates.
  • The substrate must be cohesive, stable and free from dust, grease, wax or any other substance that prevents the correct adhesion of the elastomeric putty. Remove loose or poorly adhered parts of plaster, mortar, old paint layers, etc.
  • Apply DELTAFIX or another stabilizing primer to stabilize weak and chalky substrates. If necessary, treat absorbent substrates with FIXACRYL or another stabilizing primer to reduce surface absorption.
  • All areas contaminated with mold and/or moss must be thoroughly cleaned and then treated with FUNGISTOP or another antifungal agent.
  • Protect metal parts with Beissier CHAMELEON or another anti-corrosion primer.
  • Fill deep holes and larger gaps with AGUAPLAST SUPER REPAIR.
  • In general, substrates must be treated and prepared in accordance with local standards. If in doubt, it is highly recommended to carry out a test application on a small area to determine suitability, compatibility and application conditions.

 

Application

  • Ready to use elastomeric putty paste.
  • Apply using a stainless steel trowel, spatula or blade. Widen the crack to form a larger gap. Apply Aguaplast Flex Fill elastomeric putty along the entire length, going beyond both sides of the crack and making sure that no air pockets remain. Leave to dry to apply a second coat if necessary. Difficult to sand. Use a damp sponge and work the material before it is completely dry, to match the substrate.
  • Clean tools with water immediately after use.
  • When working indoors, leave ventilation to ensure proper drying.
  • Can be overcoated with any type of paint, finish coat, wallpaper, etc.
  • Decorative finishes can be applied once the surface is dry.
