Prymer PGM is a wall primer with a very high level of coverage, opacity and filling. It is used as an insulation and preparation primer in Vieroclima external thermal insulation systems. It reduces water absorption from the substrate, offers high adhesion and extends the workability time of Vieroclima plasters.

INFORMATION

Prymer PGM is a wall primer with a very high level of coverage, opacity and filling for mineral exterior and interior surfaces, such as mineral renders/plasters and plasterboards (minimizing the risk of peeling for thin-layer plaster fillers). Excellently suitable as a primer coat that promotes adhesion for subsequent coats of synthetic (organic), silicate emulsion-based renders/plasters and mineral or colored stones. It facilitates application and texture and leads to higher performance.

Preparation and Application

  • New unpainted walls (New recently treated plasters, prefabricated panels, new plasters, plasterboards): If the substrates are not particularly absorbent, apply 1 or 2 coats of Prymer PGM directly.
  • Walls painted with absorbent paints (e.g. Lime-Based): If the surface is not particularly friable, clean it well, repair any imperfections, sand and dust. Apply 1 or 2 coats of Prymer PGM directly. In case of paint that is particularly friable, or shows chalking, sand, apply 1 coat of PRYMER ACQ 100 and after 6 – 12 hours proceed to the application of 1 – 2 coats of Prymer PGM.
  • Walls painted with non-absorbent paints – acrylics: Clean the surface thoroughly, repair any imperfections, sand and dust. Apply 1 or 2 coats of Prymer PGM directly.
  • Wall surfaces with Vieroclima thermal insulation system: After the reinforcement system (glue-mesh) has undergone the relevant treatment, proceed to apply a coat of Prymer PGM.
