INFORMATION

Spatula Stuhhi is Natural, high quality Venetian stucco that has been aged for a long period. It breathes extremely well, is resistant to alkaline environments and is an excellent natural fungicidal and bactericidal product. Its stable carbonization process makes it particularly resistant to moisture. Suitable for any interior wall or ceiling surface.

Preparation

Old surface: remove all loose old and peeling paint and clean. Then apply a stabilizing primer depending on the type of surface. When the primer is completely dry, apply a coat of Primus Naturale diluted up to a maximum of 10% with water. After 4-6 hours at 20°C proceed with the application of Spatula Stuhhi.

New surface: clean (and if necessary, fill in) the surface you want to paint. Once dry, sand the surface and apply a coat of suitable primer. When the primer is completely dry, apply a coat of Primus Naturale diluted up to a maximum of 10% with water. After 4-6 hours at 20°C proceed with the application of Spatula Stuhhi.

Note: When the substrate is plasterboard, the surface must be completely smoothed and not just the joints and screws. It must then be primed with a suitable plasterboard filler and then the above preparation procedure must be followed.

Application

  • The product is ready to use, do not dilute
  • Coats: three (3) coats
  • Apply the product in 3 coats, using the special INOX-stainless steel spatula Spatula Stuhhi. Prepare the shade with the pigment indicated in the color chart, mix with a mechanical stirrer and allow the mixture to “settle” for 24 hours.
  • First Coat: apply the material to the surface with large movements using the INOX-stainless steel spatula Spatula Stuhhi.
  • Second Coat: using the same stainless steel spatula and the same technique, the surface is completely smooth, dry and absorbent, thus giving a completely smooth surface, ideal condition for an excellent third coat.
  • Third Coat: an important trick to easily achieve a very glossy finish is, every time you take material, mix the Spatula Stuhhi with a trowel to make it more liquid and therefore more pliable. At this point, the product penetrates every small crack and with the light pressure you exert the surface becomes smooth, completely even and very glossy. Apply and remove the Spatula Stuhhi for about 1m2 and 30’’ seconds later polish using a clean INOX-stainless steel spatula Spatula Stuhhi. Continue immediately on the next 1m2, reapplying material so that there are no joints or marks.

Protection

1-2 days later and in order to increase the durability and washability of the surface, apply the protective natural wax Cera d’Api with a cotton cloth.
