Aesthetic, harmonious, friendly, functional and decorative, wooden garden furniture brings a natural and warm atmosphere to your outdoor spaces. Exposed all year round to bad weather conditions and UV rays, wood is subject to climatic fluctuations (rain, sun, wind, etc.) and to all kinds of attacks (pollution, fungal growth, etc.). Also intense stress (stains, grease, etc.), it is therefore essential to protect your garden furniture (tables, chairs, sun loungers, verandas, wooden fences) in order to ensure their beauty and maximum lifespan. Syntilor provides you with wood oils specially designed for outdoor exposure. They nourish, protect, beautify all your carpentry work by preventing graying and can even color all your wood with modern shades.
Teak Oil and Teak Oil Νερού – Υψηλής προστασίας are real treatments for exotic red and brown woods (teak, niangon, rosewood, etc.) with a natural matte appearance. They protect and beautify by preventing graying.
The wooden surfaces are impregnated and protected from climatic aggression. The natural elegance of your garden furniture, your terrace and other enclosures is highlighted and blends naturally with the landscape.
Before protection, prepare your surfaces. Degrease new exotic woods with acetone.
To ensure optimal impregnation of the wood, ensure that the wood is dry (at least 3 days of good, warm weather before application) and that there is no risk of rain for the first 24 hours after the 2nd coat. Do not apply in direct sunlight or at temperatures above 25°C.
Stir well before use. Do not dilute the product.
Apply the first coat in the direction of the wood grain with a flat or wide brush, paying particular attention to grooves, joints and edges. If applying the solvent version, wipe as you proceed with the application with a clean cotton cloth in a uniform circular motion. Refer to the drying time indicated on the packaging.
Once the wood has lost its wet appearance, apply the second coat. To obtain a very beautiful result, wipe and apply the excess product with a brush after a few minutes to avoid traces of running or highlighting (gloss).
Let your applied objects and garden furniture dry before using them.
For the regular maintenance of your garden furniture, Teak Oil is perfectly suitable.
If a quick maintenance is necessary, it is the ideal product! Your oiled wood can be maintained without the use of abrasives or sanding. Syntilor oils are self-renewable. As soon as the oiled surface loses its shine, under the influence of bad weather and ultraviolet radiation, sand the surface with sandpaper 80, remove dust and apply a new coat.
If you have painted and the wood of your furniture has faded, apply the organic paint Peinture Bois Microporeuse Biosourcée directly to the stained or faded areas. If you are doing delayed maintenance, apply two coats..
Oiled, your wood regains its original appearance. Dining room or sun lounge, your wooden garden furniture is functional again! Accentuate your garden table with lighting: lanterns, garlands, candles, tealight holders, candlesticks, lanterns.
For more comfort, place on your garden chairs: colorful cushions of different sizes, soft and fluffy throws to enjoy your long evenings. Complete the decoration of your space with mats, umbrellas or other shade. Your outdoor meetings will be warm and friendly.
If you have iron garden furniture, it requires special protection and renovation that is different from that of wooden furniture. Also remember to protect and maintain your wooden terrace.
Regularly apply Teak Oil or Teak Oil Νερού – Υψηλής προστασίας .
They nourish the wood, protect it from climatic attacks and do not crack.
When the shade of the oiled wood has naturally lightened, under the influence of bad weather and ultraviolet radiation, apply a new layer of Teak Oil.
In case of delayed maintenance, the wood is cleaned with Degriseur Nettoyant-cleaner before applying the oil. It is recommended to wear gloves, glasses and protective clothing when applying the Degriseur Nettoyant wood cleaner.
