Vierosil 1.0/1.2/1.5mm is a trowel plaster with a full and fibrous coating structure, for external and internal wall surfaces. Water-based product with Siloxane copolymers, chromatic oxides, marble chips and special additives. It presents excellent breathability and adhesion to all types of mineral substrates where applied. It has strong water repellency, which prevents the penetration of rainwater, while the microporous structure allows the moisture present in the masonry to be discharged outside in the form of steam. It is reinforced with glass fibers.

Due to its characteristics, it is suitable for use as a final coating in VIEROCLIMA External Thermal Insulation systems.

INFORMATION

Vierosil 1.0/1.2/1.5mm is a trowel plaster with a full and fibrous coating structure, for external and internal wall surfaces. Water-based product with Siloxane copolymers, chromatic oxides, marble chips and special additives. It presents excellent breathability and adhesion to all types of mineral substrates where applied. Due to its characteristics, it is suitable for use as a final coating in VIEROCLIMA External Thermal Insulation systems.

Preparation

  • At the time of application, the substrate must be sufficiently dry. Do not apply to damp substrates.
  • Protect the applications until they are completely and thoroughly dry, from rain, frost, fog, humidity and dust for at least 24 hours. Avoid application in the sun, on very windy or very hot days, with fog and high humidity, with rain and imminent night frosts.
  • New plasters must be left to cure for at least 4-6 weeks. Even brand new patches must be allowed to cure perfectly.
  • For perfect homogenization of the paint, prefer mixing with a stainless steel trowel and then mix in the mixer for at least 5 minutes.
  • New, mature, homogeneous, complete city wall surfaces:
    • Clean thoroughly, removing all traces of dust. Make sure the wall is completely dry.
    • Apply a coat of AKROSIL A Acrylic Siloxane Primer and wait 24 hours.
  • Wall surfaces made of lime, cement, plaster, already coated or partially degraded:
    • Paints and synthetic coatings: Remove completely with paint stripper and wash with a pressure washer until the substrate is completely exposed, carefully eliminating any residue of the corrosive.
    • Mineral paints and coatings: remove all traces of stains, parts that are not completely adhered and any frayed areas.
  • If necessary, fill and smooth with compatible products and let dry. Make sure the wall is completely dry and apply a coat of AKROSIL A Acrylic Siloxane Primer and wait 24 hours.
  • Wall surfaces with external thermal insulation system:
    • Check the hardening of the reinforced leveling layer.
    • Apply one coat of AKROSIL A acrylic siloxane primer.

 

Application

  • Apply a layer of Vierosil 1.0/1.2/1.5mm plaster with a stainless steel upper handle trowel. Then work the material with a plastic trowel and before it starts to dry, spread it with the same tool.
  • The product completes the drying and polymerization processes within 8 – 10 days in good environmental conditions (+ 5 ° C / + 35 ° C, Humidity max. 85%). If the product, during this period, is washed away by rainwater, unsightly marks and runs with a translucent and sticky appearance may appear. This phenomenon, of a temporary nature, does not affect the quality characteristics of the product and can be easily eliminated by washing with water or by waiting for the next rain.
