Vetro is a water-based protective finish based on acrylic polymers. Where applied, it makes finishes waterproof, significantly increasing washability and resistance to stains and dirt. It is used as a protective varnish finish for most Giorgio Graesan & Friends style products.

Your walls are often subjected to harsh tests: fingerprints, abrasion, frequent washing, splashes of all kinds… and we know that it is difficult to clean all these stains without damaging your paint.

Vetro is suitable for application on interior walls of bathrooms, kitchens or other areas that require protection from water. Ideal for interior shower cabins or other surfaces that come into direct contact with water. Vetro, once dried, gives the surface a distinctive Matt, Satin or Glossy and uniform appearance.

Preparation

The substrate must be completely dry. Wait at least 24 hours before applying the VETRO protection product.
As it protects against water, if applied to surfaces that are still wet, it tends to whiten and its protective effect is reduced.

Application

The product is ready to use, dilute only when necessary. Consult the relevant table in the Technical Brochure.
Application tools: Brush, Roller and PE3 brush.
Apply as much of the product as possible and remove the excess. If a milky appearance and streaks appear during application, these will disappear with the drying process. In corners or other areas that are difficult to reach, apply with a brush, especially along the joints between different surfaces.
Wait 12 hours between coats.
For better protection, especially in shower or kitchen areas, we recommend applying at least 2 coats of Vetro Lucido or Vetro Satin diluted 1:4 and then multiple coats of Vetro Opaco undiluted.
Once you have completed your work and Vetro has dried, seal the edges in contact with other surfaces (showers, taps, kitchen countertops) with a suitable silicone, to avoid water stagnation, which would result in the formation of marks or haze.
Vetro offers high washability, where applied. It is suitable for the protection of interior surfaces.
