Silica Fondo SD is a transparent primer for the application of primer coats with very good adhesion on solid, mineral exterior and interior surfaces, such as mineral renders/plasters and plasterboards. Excellently suitable as a primer coat that promotes adhesion for subsequent coats of synthetic renders/plasters based on silicate emulsion. It facilitates application and texture and leads to higher performance.

INFORMATION

Silica Fondo SD is a transparent primer for the application of primer coats with very good adhesion on solid, mineral exterior and interior surfaces, such as mineral renders/plasters and plasterboards. Excellently suitable as a primer coat that promotes adhesion for subsequent coats of synthetic renders/plasters based on silicate emulsion. It facilitates application and texture and leads to higher performance.

Preparation

  • Ready to use.
  • Avoid diluting with water to 50% by weight.
  • Make sure the surface to be painted is sufficiently dry before applying the product.
  • Do not apply to a surface affected by rising damp. Protect the surface from rain, ice, fog, dew and dust for at least 24 hours, until completely dry.
  • Do not apply in direct sunlight, on very hot or windy days, or when there is fog or the air is very humid, or when there is a risk of rain or frost at night.
  • To avoid any shading, apply the product in a layer wet on wet.
  • New plasters must be completely dry for at least 4-6 weeks.
  • Environmental and surface conditions:
    • Room temperature: minimum +7°C / max. +40°C
    • Relative humidity: <80%.
    • Surface temperature: minimum +5°C / maximum +40°C

 

Application

  • The product is ready to use and does not require dilution.
  • Shake well before use.
  • Apply with a brush or fur roller evenly over the entire surface.
