The Primer before painting – Primaire avant Peinture – provides a highly opaque white color that is ideal for preparing before iD decorative paints. The Primer before painting – Primaire avant Peinture – provides a highly opaque white color that is ideal for preparing before iD decorative paints. It allows better adhesion and greater economy of decorative products to be applied later, such as Pur Métal, Nacre, Sable d’eÉté, Paillett’, Loft Original, etc.

Preparation and Application

  • Old wall. Remove all old, loose and peeling paint and clean. Then apply a stabilizing primer depending on the type of surface. When the primer is completely dry, apply a coat of PRIMAIRE Avant Peinture-white PRIMER before Painting and after 4 hours at 20°C, proceed with the application of the decorative paint.
  • New wall. Clean (and if necessary, fill/fill) the surface you want to paint. Once dry, sand the surface and apply a coat of suitable primer. When the primer is completely dry, apply a coat of PRIMAIRE Avant Peinture-white PRIMER before Painting and after 4 hours at 20°C, proceed with the application of the decorative paint.
