Blanchon Water-Based Chalkboard Paint is a matte, anti-reflective and durable paint that allows you to transform painted or unfinished walls as well as interior woodwork (doors, panels, boards) into a chalkboard. It is pleasant to apply, odorless, and offers a durable surface that is easy to wash and wipe clean. It transforms any wooden surface and wall into a chalkboard. It adds great durability and resistance to the surfaces it is applied to.

Preparation

  • The substrates must be sound, clean and dry, without any trace of grease.
  • If necessary, fill any holes in the wood or repair the wall.
  • Clean thoroughly from dust.

 

Application

  • Do not dilute: ready to use.
  • Shake well before use. Do not apply at temperatures below 12 ° C.
  • Use only in a well-ventilated area.
  • On wood and new walls: apply with a large brush, brush (plain) or roller in 2 or 3 regular coats, depending on the porosity of the surface.
  • On new wood, after the first coat has dried, light sanding (sandpaper No. 120-180) and dusting is recommended.
  • On already painted substrates: light sanding (sandpaper No. 120-180), then apply 2 coats.
  • Blackboard renovation: light sanding (sandpaper No. 120-180) and then in most cases apply 2 coats.
  • Let the paint cure for at least 72 hours to achieve a very good mechanical capacity so that you have very good hardness, wiping and cleaning characteristics.

 

Maintenance

  • In any case, sand (sandpaper No. 120-180), then apply 2 coats.
