The natural, high-quality Marmorino, aged for a long period, contains elements of fine-grained white marble, lime and other mineral elements. It creates walls that are uniform, perfectly smooth and pleasant to the touch. Slightly satiny, it makes the walls of the house welcoming and exciting without being intrusive. Marmorino 2020, with a base of natural long-matured lime plaster, is characterized by the cloudy appearance, the same as the classic Marmorino Veneziano.
Marmorino 2020, based on natural long-maturing lime mortar, is characterized by its cloudy appearance, the same as the classic Marmorino Veneziano. The marble dust and special additives give the product: high adhesion to the surface and excellent slip at the time of application, achieving a quick finish, with a low material consumption. Ideal for large surfaces. Its stable carbonation process makes it particularly resistant to moisture. Suitable for any interior wall or ceiling surface. Marmorino 2020 allows maximum breathability and is also an excellent anti-mold and antibacterial agent, due to its alkaline nature.
Preparation
Proper preparation of the substrate is a prerequisite for a successful finish.
Old surface. Remove all loose old and flaking paint and clean. Then apply a stabilizing primer depending on the type of surface. When the primer is completely dry, apply a coat of PRIMUS SABBIA diluted up to a maximum of 10% with water. After 4-6 hours at 20°C proceed with the application of Marmorino 2020.
New surface. Clean (and if necessary, fill in) the surface you want to paint. Once dry, sand the surface and apply a coat of a suitable primer. When the primer is completely dry, apply a coat of PRIMUS SABBIA diluted up to a maximum of 10% with water. After 4-6 hours at 20°C proceed with the application of Marmorino 2020.
Note: When the substrate is plasterboard, the surface must be troweled in its entirety and not just at its joints and screws. It must then be primed with a suitable plasterboard filler and then follow the above preparation procedure.

Protection
3-4 days later and in order to increase the durability and washability of the surface, apply the protective natural wax Cera del Vecchio.
