Otturapori OTP + CT45 is a transparent, two-component, water-based resin applied by roller for indoor use. It has been designed for the interior of shower trays and floors, for all surfaces in direct contact with water in the VALPAINT I-BETON PLUS system. It guarantees fully water-repellent and cleanable surfaces.

Preparation

Catalyzing the product: it must be catalyzed with CT45. Mix well with a spatula, making sure that the material stuck to the sides or bottom of the container moves to the center, so that it is completely mixed.
The pot life of the mixture can vary depending on temperature changes: it is shorter in high temperature environments and longer in low temperature environments. Therefore, when applying the product, it is good practice to make sure that its viscosity has not increased and that the container has not heated up.
If any of these conditions exist, we recommend not applying the product but catalyzing another one.
Before catalyzing, we recommend bringing the product to a temperature of 15-20°C, warming the container with a hair dryer during the colder months or keeping it in a cool place during the warmer months.
Make sure that the last coat of paint, over which OTTURAPORI OTB + CT45 is to be applied, is perfectly dry with a surface humidity of less than 3%.

Application

For the interior of shower trays and floors and surfaces in direct contact with water, apply a thin layer of OTTURAPORI OTB + CT45 using a medium-pile roller or the Valpaint PV 95 roller before the TOP COAT. Make sure that the temperature of the product, the room and the support surface is above 15°C and that the relative humidity is below 65%.
Wait 18-24 hours at 20°C to ensure that OTTURAPORI OTB has completely dried. Then sand with sandpaper No. 400/500 before applying two or three layers of the two-component resin TOP COAT AR60 LUCIDO (glossy) or TOP COAT AR70 OPACO (matte).
After application, seal areas that are most likely to have frequent contact with water (e.g. inside showers and around faucet fittings) with a transparent silicone sealant.
