INFORMATION

Isolfix Al Aqua Matt is a paint for isolating and covering stains seals difficult stains from tobacco, nicotine, soot, coffee, tannins, oil, grease, markers, as well as yellowing on plasterboards that come either from old moisture or from surface oxidation due to prolonged exposure to light. It is suitable for bathrooms and kitchens, presents very high resistance to rubbing and cleaning and is a very white and matt color.

Preparation

  • Apply to dry substrates. The substrate must be cohesive, stable and free from dust, grease, wax or any other substance that prevents the proper adhesion of the putty. Remove loose or poorly adhered parts of plaster, mortar, old layers of paint, etc.
  • Surfaces with grease, soot, nicotine stains: clean beforehand with water and with the help of a household detergent. Once dry, lightly sand and paint.
  • Protect metal parts with Beissier CHAMELEON or another anti-corrosion primer.
  • All areas contaminated with mold and/or moss must be thoroughly cleaned and then treated with FUNGISTOP or another antifungal agent.
  • Plasterboards with yellowish stains: this is surface oxidation due to prolonged exposure to light and which can be transmitted to the final paint. To avoid this, seal beforehand by applying the special anti-stain paint Isolfix Al Aqua.
  • Respect the drying times of the putties used to treat plasterboard joints. Given their nature and type of application, they are usually particularly sensitive to humidity and can cause the formation of bubbles, swelling of the putty and delamination of the material. Adequate ventilation and good temperature are recommended.

Application

  • Stir the product before use.
  • It is recommended not to dilute it. If necessary, add the minimum amount of water to adjust the consistency of the application, max. 5% in the first coat and without dilution in the second. Excessive dilution will affect the properties of the paint: insulation capacity, color tone, hiding power.
  • Apply two coats of Isolfix Al Aqua evenly, allowing to dry between coats. Can be overcoated with plastic/acrylic paints.
  • Application tool: brush, roller or paint gun.
  • Theoretical coverage: approx. 6-10 m2/l per coat, depending on the type of substrate.
