The colorless water-based varnish for application over Blatem Chalk Paint provides greater durability to the surfaces it is applied to. It is very low odor, non-yellowing, very matte, with excellent durability and easy application. In addition to its use over Blatem Chalk Paint, it can also be applied to any type of surface for greater durability and protection.

 

Preparation and Application

  • Surfaces painted with Blatem chalk paints must be dry and clean before applying Barniz Mate Chalk Paint.
  • If the furniture is painted with lacquer, ripolin, or other varnishes, it is recommended to sand with sandpaper (grit 120-150) and wipe thoroughly before applying the Blatem chalk paint system.
  • The Colorless Matte Water Varnish (Chalk Paint Barniz) is applied in thin layers with a brush, roller or paint gun. It can be applied as ready-to-use or slightly diluted with water: brush, roller (0-10%) and paint gun (10-20%).
  • Do not apply at temperatures below 8ºC and relative humidity above 80%.
  • Mix the contents of the container well before use.
