INFORMATION

Arteco’7 decorative paint is a distinctive and visually striking water-based paint for interior use. It can be used to create many different decorative effects from classic aged to strikingly modern. Once the product has fully hardened, a film develops that allows the surface to breathe while offering good resistance to impact and normal abrasion.

 

Preparation

  • Old surface : remove all loose old and peeling paint and clean. Then, apply a stabilizing primer depending on the type of surface. When the primer is completely dry, apply a coat of Primart 600 diluted 15 – 20% with water. After 4-6 hours at 20°C proceed with the application of Arteco’7.
  • New surface : clean (and if necessary, fill in) the surface you want to paint. Once dry, sand the surface and apply a coat of suitable primer. When the primer is completely dry, apply a coat of Primart 600 diluted 15 – 20% with water. After 4-6 hours at 20°C proceed with the application of Arteco’7.
  • To create the colors and effects shown in the catalog, carefully mix Arteco’7 with the required amount of COLORI pigment paste. To change the color of the particles in Arteco’7, add the product P40 (in a 280ml package),

 

Application

  • Classic aged effect: apply and work the product gradually on a small surface (approximately 1 – 2 square meters at a time), using either the brush or the PV 76 fur glove. Start distributing the material on the wall surface with the classic movement of the palm of the hand or the brush. Keep the edge of the glove clean. If you want the surface to look more aged, pass a wet glove lightly over the surface after 15’-30’ minutes. If you want to achieve a more uniform look, apply the same product again.
  • When the smooth areas of the colors are dry and the particles protruding from the surface are still wet (after approximately 20’), gently smooth the Arteco’7 using the PV 77 Plastic spatula, with alternating crisscross (X) movements of the spatula.
