The cementitious adhesive for leveling and installing thermal insulation boards Adesan G7 is based on inorganic binders, alkali-resistant, acrylic copolymers, silicate elements with calibrated granulometry, micronized aggregates and special additives specifically designed for bonding, leveling and embedding the reinforcement mesh during the installation of external thermal insulation systems. It presents high adhesive strength for bonding expanded polystyrene, rock wool, cork and wood fiber insulation panels to masonry, concrete, cement and plaster substrates. It has high water vapor permeability.

INFORMATION

The cementitious adhesive for leveling and installing thermal insulation boards Adesan G7 (0.7mm) is a product based on alkali-resistant mineral binders and contains acrylic copolymers, silicate elements with calibrated grain size, micronized aggregates and various special additives that are mixed with water in a ratio of 25 kg bag weight to approximately 5.5 liters of water. It is suitable for use as a primer on cement mortar, cement mortar or equivalent, prefabricated cement elements and surfaces that have already been treated with other coatings, for application in one or more layers depending on the required thickness. Finally, it is the ideal product for use as an adhesive and leveling material in the installation of Vieroclima thermal insulation systems.

Preparation and Application

  • Mix Adesan G7 with 22% – 23% water (25 kg bag with approximately 5.5 liters of water) until a homogeneous paste is obtained, carefully avoiding the formation of lumps.
  • Wait 15 minutes before application.
  • The ready mixture can be used for approximately 2 hours.
  • Do not apply to masonry under conditions of intense sunlight (+ 35°C) or in ambient or substrate temperature conditions, which may fall below + 5°C in the first 24 hours after application. The relative humidity must not exceed 80%.
  • After application, the surfaces must be protected from the possibility of rain for at least 48 hours.

 

New and mature wall surfaces:

  • Clean carefully, removing all traces of dust, dirt or other elements and components that are not perfectly adhered. Make sure the wall is completely dry and apply, in the case of very absorbent substrates, a coat of PRYMER ACQ 100 primer.

 

External wall surfaces, cementitious mortar or plaster, already coated or partially degraded:

    • With paints: remove all traces of dirt, parts that are not completely adhered and any rashes.
    • With old substrates: remove the old paint with a paint remover and wash the surface with a water pressure washer. In case of mold, carry out a cleaning treatment with a relevant anti-mold cleaning solution.
    • Carry out any troweling up to 5 mm thick with Adesan G7 after first having stabilized the substrate with PRYMER ACQ 100. Let it dry for at least 5-6 days.
    • Apply Adesan G7 to the surface with a stainless steel trowel and smooth with the same tool. Before it starts to harden, work with a trowel/sponge for a smooth finish.

 

VIEROCLIMA External Thermal Insulation Systems:

    • Make sure that the base is cohesive, free from dust, dirt, mold and chalking. If necessary, take appropriate measures.
    • Apply Adesan G7 with a stainless steel top-handle spatula to the surface of the insulation panels and allow them to adhere to the substrate. After at least 48 hours, “shave” the sheets, spread the reinforcing mesh and perform its embedding so that the reinforcing mesh is perfectly covered. Let the product cure until completely dry and in any case not less than 5 days before proceeding with the coating.
