Akrosil A is a hydrophobic water-based stabilizer-primer based on Acrylic-siloxane resins, resistant to alkalis and atmospheric agents. Its special composition makes it a powerful unifying agent but also as a pre-treatment of all those surfaces that are to be coated with any product of the Siloxane-based series. It penetrates deeply into the surface providing a deep unification of the plaster. At the same time, it creates a water-repellent barrier, without changing the permeability of water vapor.

INFORMATION

Akrosil A is a hydrophobic water-based stabilizer-primer based on Acrylic-siloxane resins, resistant to alkalis and atmospheric agents. Its special composition makes it a powerful unifying agent but also as a pre-treatment of all those surfaces that are to be coated with any product of the Siloxane-based series. It penetrates deeply into the surface providing a deep unification of the plaster. At the same time, it creates a water-repellent barrier, without changing the permeability of water vapor.

Preparation

  • Scrub and clean the entire surface thoroughly to eliminate any traces of dirt, loose parts or possible rashes.
  • New surfaces: clean thoroughly, removing any traces of dust. Make sure the wall is completely dry, then apply a coat of Akrosil A.
  • Previously painted surfaces: completely remove old paints or synthetic coatings and wash the surface thoroughly. Smooth any imperfections with suitable repair materials and allow to cure. Make sure the wall is completely dry, then apply a coat of Akrosil A.

 

Application

  • Dilute Akrosil A with water in a ratio of up to 1:1 depending on the absorbency of the substrate and the climatic conditions. Apply one coat of the product with a brush, roller or spray gun until the surface is completely saturated.
  • Wait 24 hours before applying any finishing product
